Waylon D. Davenport, 70, passed away after a short illness on October 23, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.  Waylon was the son of the late Charlie Lee Davenport and Edith Jones Davenport.  He was born on April 15, 1953 in Richland, Georgia.

Waylon is preceded in death by both of his parents; two brothers, Edger Lee Davenport, John Bradford Davenport; and two sisters, Joyce Ammons, Rebecca Ann Wilkerson.

He is survived by his brother, Charles (Linda) Davenport of Phenix City, Alabama and two sisters, Phyllis Ritch of Hiram, Georgia, Janice (Jim) Packard of Opelika, Alabama, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be set at a later date.
