Obituary

Virginia Iris Folk Barge "Ginny", 78, passed away at Fellowship of Cottonhill in Cuthbert, Georgia, on October 20, 2022.  She was born on April 13, 1944 in Bamerl, South Carolina to the late Jessie C. Folk and Bertha King.

Survivors include her husband, John Barge, her three daughters, Bonnie (Richie) King of Conyers, Georgia, Linda (Jamie) Stephens of Conyers, Georgia, Amy (Peavy) Pittman of Cuthbert, Georgia; five grandchildren, Taylor King, J. J. Stephens, Caskey Stephens, Warren Pittman, Whit Pittman.

Ginny was a true character, full of love and life, and put all her touch on everything that she did, from "cooking/baking" to "clogging/square dancing" to "loving" all her grandchildren!  You always knew Ginny was near when you heard her talking and laughing!  She loved visiting with friends and feeding all the cats!

A Visitation will be held at the Barge home on Sunday afternoon, October 23, 2022, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM.

A Graveside Service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 3:00 PM, at Sardis Methodists Church outside of Lumpkin, Georgia. The Reverend Dan Smith will officiate the service.
