Steven "Steve" Stubbs Holder, 69, of Richland, Georgia, beloved husband, father, friend and die-hard Georgia sports fan, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at his home.  He was born on July 21, 1955, in Cuthbert, Georgia, to the late John N. Holder and Berenice Stubbs.

Born and raised with Southern roots, Steve, was a true Georgia boy through and through.  He lived for Saturdays between the hedges cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs, never missed a Falcons game on Sunday, and stood by his Atlanta Braves through every inning - win or lose.  His loyalty to his teams was only rivaled by the love he had for his family.

Nothing brought Steve more joy than firing up the grill, surrounded by the aroma of good food, laughter, and the company of those he held dear.  Whether it was game day or just a sunny afternoon, he turned every meal into a celebration of life.

Above all else, Steve was a proud and devoted father to his two sons, Travis and Josh.  He was their biggest fan, their constant support and their role model.  The lessons he taught them - about hard work, loyalty and loving with your whole heart - will live on for generations.

Steve was always supported by his loving and devoted wife, Lynn.  Lynn was there to help Steve especially after he was unable to be active in the community.  Lynn would drive them out and about, whether in town, to church or on their way to Columbus and Americus.  Steve enjoyed their trips to Americus and Wal Mart!  Steve called Lynn, his "Angel".

Steve was retired from Oakcrest Lumber Inc.

He is survived by devoted and loving wife, Lynn, his son, Josh, grandchildren, Caleb Summerall, Jeremiah Holder, Alyssa Holder, Eli Holder, J. J. Holder, Ju Ju Holder, special nieces, extended family, his loving companion dog, Bentley, and countless friends who will forever remember his warm smile, fierce spirit and boundless love.

Steve is preceded in death by both of his parents, his son, Travis Scott Holder and his brother, Marty Holder.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Northside Cemetery in Lumpkin, Georgia.  The family will visit with friends after the service.  The Reverend Justin Frederick will officiate the service.
