Shirley Ann Brown Goodway, 80, died peacefully at her home on March 17, 2023, of natural causes. She was born on February 4, 1943, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the late Richard and Gertrude Hall Brown.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and eight siblings.

Shirley is survived by her children, Cheryl (Sam) Hower of Michigan, Denise (Keith) Reed of Dothan, Alabama, Teraysa (Ken) Forrester of Dothan, Alabama and Marlo Goodway of Daphne, Alabama; brother, Richard Brown of Leesburg, Georgia; sister, Norma Rose of North Carolina and six grandchildren.

She was a retired Analysist from the United States Civil Services.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 2:00 PM (EST), at Enterprise Baptist Church, 407 Enterprise Church Road, Richland, Georgia 31825.  The Reverend Tim Cadenhead will officiate the service.  The family will visit with friends after the service.
