Roberto Perez Castro died on November 2, 2022, in Preston, Georgia, at 73 years old.  He was born in Montere, Mexico.

Roberto moved to the United States in 1995 to work at Tolleson Sawmill Lumber Company in Preston, Georgia, with Maria Bernal's father.  Roberto lived in Preston and was known for walking many miles every day.  He would visit his neighbors as he went on his walk.  As he did not have any family in the States, his close friends became his family.  They referred to his as "Don Robert".  His family and friends will gather together to celebrate his life with a Chapel Service on Sunday afternoon, November 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.
