Rena (Mae) Oliver Black, 87, Preston, GA., died May 11, 2011, at Four County Health and Rehab in Richland, GA.

Mrs. Black was born May 23, 1923, in Americus, GA.  Her parents were John Elliott and Maude Cantrell Oliver, deceased.  She was married to William Alvin Black, Sr., deceased.  Mrs. Black was a homemaker, dedicated wife and mother.  She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Black is survived by son, William A. Black, Jr. (Patsy), Preston, GA. and daughter, Bonnie Cannington (Charlton), Morris, GA.  Three grandchildren, Charlie Cannington, Morris, GA., Brittany Mathis (Al), Arlington, GA., and Mallory Black, Savannah, GA.

Funeral was Friday, May 13, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in church cemetery.  Visitation was Thursday, May 12, 2011, 7:00 - 9:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home, Richland, GA.

Minister was Rev. Robert Orr.  Pallbearers were:  Mike Bankston, Robert Hearon, Kenny Wills, Jake Everett, Charlie Cannington, and Al Mathis.

The family gathered prior to funeral at the Macedonia Church Fellowship Hall.  Flowers and donations accepted, to Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund.
