Raymond Edward Lyles, "Baby Brother", 75, passed away at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia, on November 15, 2022. He was born on July 10, 1947, in Gadsden, Alabama, to the late Louis Guise Lyles and Margaret Martin and was the youngest of 12 siblings.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and 10 siblings.

Raymond is survived by brother, Charles U. Lyles of Box Springs, Georgia, his nephew, Gene Hendon, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Later in 1967, the family relocated to Richland, Georgia where he resided until making his final move to Box Springs, Georgia. He was residing with his brother, Charles U. Lyles, and his nephew, James E. Hendon.

He was an honorable man of strong faith, generous and kind to all, he was a wonderful friend, uncle, and brother. He loved deer and turkey hunting, crafting turkey calls, and was an avid Alabama sports fan.

Like many young men in the 60s who lived in Richland, if you were not college-bound, then you worked for the local mobile home industry, Redman. He was a self-contractor as an electrician. He was retired from bus driving for the Stewart County Headstart program. He was a wonderful caregiver to his mother and sister, later in their lives, making sure they were well attended to. Ray loved his entire family.

A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel in Richland, Georgia. The family will receive friends that day from 12:30 p.m. to the commencement of the service. Reverend Raymond Smith will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Gadsden, Alabama, at the Tillison Cemetery.
