Ralph (RE) Johnson, 87, of Preston, Georgia, passed away on January 22, 2016, at Four County Health & Rehab, in Richland, Georgia.

He was born on March 29, 1928, in Webster County Georgia, to the late Herschel Johnson and Pearl Holley Johnson.

Mr. RE was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation as a Foreman. Mr. RE and his wife Reba, lived in the area all his life. He was a member of the Rural Hill United Methodist Church that was in the Centerpoint Community. He was a member of the Woodman of the World Organization. Mr. RE had resided at the Four County Health & Rehab for the last few years.

RE is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife, Rebecca (Reba) Clark Johnson, a brother, Howard (Buddy) Johnson and a grandson, George Smith.

He is survived by his son, Ralph (Sandee) Johnson of Lumpkin, Georgia; three daughters, Rebecca (Raymond) Smith of Preston, Georgia, Rachel (Ricky) Speegle of Preston, Georgia, Rhonda (Bob) Rainey of Bronwood, Georgia; one brother, Frank (Susan) Johnson of Preston, Georgia; two sisters, Beatrice Spann of Preston, Georgia, Bernice Cullison of Plains, Georgia; 13 grandchildren, Renee (Mark) Gill, Amanda Smith, Priscilla Smith, Charles (Kelly) Speegle, Casper (Meagan) Speegle, Carey (Kricket) Speegle, Taylor Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Carlisle (Meredith) Rainey, Bennett (Brittany) Rainey, Clark Rainey, Thomas (Lauryn) Rainey, Levie Rainey; and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held tonight, Saturday, January 23, 2016, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday afternoon, January 24, 2016, at Preston City Cemetery at 2:00 PM, Preston, Georgia. The Reverend Raymond Smith will be conducting the service.

Serving as pallbearers for the funeral will be Mr. RE's grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made to Georgia Sheriff's Youth Ranch or the Preston Library, in care of Baldwin Funeral Home.
