Quinton Wood, 58, died February 8, 2014, at Columbus Regional Health, Midtown Medical Center, in Columbus, GA. He was born November 22, 1955, in Douglas, GA, to the late Troy Wood and Quinnie Buchan Wood.
Quinton was a Timber Dealer and owned his own trucking company, C & A Trucking Company, in Louvale, GA. Quinton was well known for his radio name, "Blackhawk". He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Quinton was preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Robin Page Wood, two daughters, Crystal (Jim) Pilkauskas of Phenix City, AL., and Ashley Wood (Frankie Pearce) of Newnan, GA.; two brothers, Eddie (Sharon) Wood of LaGrange, GA., and Tommy (Debra) Wood of Douglas, GA. and special cousin, Windel Buchan of Louvale, GA., and special sister-in-law, Connie Page Juhan of Shiloh, GA. Quinton has three grandchildren, Quinn, Cole and Landon Pilkauskas.
The Family will receive visitors at Baldwin Funeral Home, 50 Charles Overby Dr., in Richland, GA, on Monday, February 10, 2014, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at 3:00 PM at the Louvale Cemetery in Louvale, GA., with the Reverend Larry Langford and his nephew, Nick Page officiating.
Baldwin Funeral Home will be in charge of all arragements.
