Neal Rayney Eades, 91, died on February 27, 2016, at Four County Health & Rehab in Richland, Georgia.

Neal was born on August 2, 1924, in Dewey Rose, Elbert County, Georgia, to the late Reuben R. Eades and Velma Smith Eades.

Neal is survived by his two sons, Samuel Rayney Eades, of Florida, Joel Gary Eades of Buena Vista, Georgia and his daughter, Martha L. Eades Harris of Richland, Georgia; and his sister, Juanita E. Maurmann.

He is predeceased by her wife, Martha Ruth Eades.

Neal grew up in rural Elbert County Georgia. He talked about walking to school in the rain and snow. His family owned a farm and later a couple of granite quarries.

During his younger years he worked throughout the southeast area of Georgia before moving to Richland. Moving to Stewart County, he was a self-employed building contractor. Neal was a perfectionist when it came to his craft and was a wise money manager. He worked on and built many homes here in the Stewart County area.

Neal and Martha Ruth were members of the Richland Baptist Church.

A Chapel Service was held on Monday afternoon, February 29, 2016, at 1:30 pm, at Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Harmony Cemetery in Richland, Georgia.
