Obituary

Nan Tucker Whitten, 68, of Richland, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Four County Health and Rehab Center in Richland, GA.

Mrs. Whitten was born August 9, 1943 in Poulan, Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late Joe Tucker and Lois Spears Tucker.  Mrs. Witten worked as a waitress in several area restaurants in Columbus, Richland and Plains, GA.  She was loved by her customers because of her good service and friendly presonality.

Survivors include her husband, George Whitten of Richland, GA; three daughters, Kathy Gouker (Donald) of Richland, GA; Paula McMillion (David) of Cusseta, GA; Liz Williams (David) of Junction, OR; and one son, Michael Wilson (Heather) of Plant City, FL; two brothers, Leon Tucker (Brenda) and Aaron Tucker and one sister, Verlaine Stone.  Mrs. Whitten is also survived by grandchildren and greatgrandchildren as well as a large number of friends she made during her years of being a waitress.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Enterprise Baptist Church in Webster County with burial in Enterprise Baptist Cemetery.  Enterprise Baptist Pastor Tim Cadenhead conducted the services.  Visitation was held Saturday Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Pallbearers were her son-in-laws and grandsons; Don Gouker, David McMillion, Timothy Gouker, Scotty Childs, Dustin Rivera, and Kein Miller.
