Myron Eugene Fandel, 57, of Preston, Georgia, formerly of Peoria, Illinois, passed away February 15, 2011 at his home.

A chapel service was held at Baldwin Funeral Home, Richland, Georgia, February 19, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Raymond Smith officiating.  Interment was at the Preston City Cemetery, in Preston, Georgia.

Myron was born March 6, 1953, and was the son of the late Edward John Sr. and the late Clara Ella "Pat" Garrison Fandel.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Mae Prim Fandel and son Gene (Shelley) Fandel of Tifton, Georgia.  Myron's siblings are:  Edward John Fandel III (Aleta), Keith Fandel, Evon Fandel, Larry Fandel (Teresa) and Steven Fandel.

Myron served in United States Army, November 16, 1970 to August 10, 1973, as a marksman.  He received the National Defense Service Medal.  Myron was active in the occupation of a sprinkler fitter and farmer.
