Obituary

Miriam Canington Dunahoo, "Mimsy" went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 2, 2016.

Miriam was the eleventh child and eighth daughter of Charles Henry Canington and Mary Virginia Hall (both deceased).

Miriam is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ralph W. Dunahoo, her son, Ralph Anthony (Andy) Dunahoo, three sisters, Carolyn C. Goree, Thelma C. Lane, Violet C. Greene, a sister-in law, Ann B. Cannington, and one brother Charlton H. Cannington (Thelma); three granddaughters and three great grandchildren. Miriam is survived by nearly 40 nieces and nephews, including Joy B. Brown, who so lovingly provided care to Miriam.

Miriam is predeceased by her daughter, Debra Dunahoo Lee, two of her brothers, Charles Lawrence Canington and James Harold Cannington, four sisters, Marguerite C. Hamner, Joyce C. Brown, Lillian C. Hines and Virginia C. Franklin.

Miriam attended Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia.

Ralph and Miriam are members of First Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia.

Miriam was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time with Ralph, her son Andy, and her brothers hunting deer and turkey. She was creative and artistic.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday afternoon, February 5, 2016, at County Line Cemetery, County Line Community, at 1:00 PM, Lumpkin, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to County Line Baptist Church, c/o Richard Morrison, 1715 Lynch Rd., Lumpkin GA 31815.
