Minnie Lee Murray Clark, 93, died at the Phoebe Sumter Regional Hospital in Americus, Georgia, on March 26, 2017. She had been living at the Four County Health & Rehab in Richland, Georgia for the past several years.
Mrs. Clark was born on September 23, 1923 in Webster County Georgia, to the late Edward Murray and Carrie Gynes Murray.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Edmond L. Clark; one brother, Lee Murray; two sisters, Mary Hinton and Ruth Smith; and a niece, Reba Johnson.
Mrs. Minnie and her husband, Edmond, farmed in the Centerpoint Community. They moved to Preston in 1970. She was a member of the Preston United Methodist Church. She lived in Webster County Georgia until she moved to the Sumter Retirement Village. Later she moved to the Four County Health & Rehab in Richland Georgia.
Survivors include: her niece, Joyce Tyler, and nephews, Gerald Smith, Walter T. (Peggy) Clark, and Jack Jones
The Visitation Service with family and friends was held at Baldwin Funeral Home, 50 Overby Dr., in Richland, GA, on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM. The Church Service was held at
Preston Methodist Church, Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 3:00 PM, with the Reverends' Lee Smith, Raymond Smith and Stan Ballew officiating. Rees Walker provided music for Mrs. Minnie's service. Internment followed the service in the Preston City Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving were Mrs. Minnie's great nephews.
