Millard Solomon Kennedy, 96, died on April 22, 2019, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.  He was born on December 28, 1922 in Gwinnett County, Georgia, to the late William Henry Kennedy and Sallie Elizabeth Clark Kennedy.

Millard was preceded in death by both of his parents, his son, Daniel Kennedy, three brothers and seven sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Glenwodyne Brightwell Kennedy of Richland, Georgia, two sons, Steve (Chlotile) Kennedy of Preston, Georgia, James "Jimmy" (Sam) Roger Kennedy of Atlanta, Georgia; his brother Ben (Bobbie) Kennedy of Preston, Georgia; four grandchildren, Tammie (Kip) Bates, Danny Kennedy, Kyna (Jason) Tarrer, Kristy Kennedy; nine great grandchildren, Kale Crook, Corey Crook, Hannah (Austin) Crook, Dyllan Bates, Cole Wilmer, Haleigh Wilmer, Kennedy Tarrer, Dakota Kennedy, Luke Tarrer; one great-great-grandchild, Emery Reddoch; several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation Service with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 2:00 – 2:45 PM, at Preston City Cemetery in Preston, Georgia.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 3:00 PM, Preston City Cemetery in Preston Georgia with the Reverend Raymond Smith and Jason Tarrer officiating.
