Mary Ann Gilbert Lane, 84, of Lumpkin, Ga., died at the Canterbury Health Facility, Phenix City, AL, on Saturday, January 29, 2011.  Chapel Services were held February 1, 2011, 3:00 PM, at the Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Larry Langford officiating.  Visitation was held Monday evening, January 31, 2011, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home, Richland, GA.

Mary Ann was born April 22, 1926, in Stewart County, GA, to Albert and Docia Alice Elliott Gilbert.  She is survived by her spouse, James Lane.  She is survived by her children, Judy Alger (Gregg) of Lumpkin, GA, Lawrence Lane (Kathy) of North Oxford, GA, and Ginger Lane of Acworth, GA.  She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Lane and her two sisters, Betty Zwolinski and Peggy Huff.

She is survived by nine grandchildren:  Jackie Hutwagner (Lori) of Columbus, GA, Eddie Hutwagner (Julie) of Oxford, GA, Anna Bramblett (Jimmy) of Watkinsville, GA, Charlotte Barker of North Augusta, SC, Eric Ray (Rose) of Gastonia, NC, Amy Ammons (Phil) of Lumpkin, GA, Andrew Ray of Acworth, GA, Ben Ray of Knoxville, TN, and Sarah Harrison of Acworth, GA.  She is survived by nine great grandchildren: Cale and Clare Edwards of Watkinsville, GA, Tate and Will Hutwagner of Columbus, GA, Morgan and Allie Barker of North Augusta, SC, Dia and Emma Ray of Gastonia, NC, and Mya Ammons of Lumpkin, GA.

Mrs. Lane's grandsons will serve as pall bears:  Jackie and Eddie Hutwagner, Eric, Andrew and Ben Ray and Phil Ammons.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
