Mary Chlotile "Chlo" Montgomery Kennedy, 77, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the Phoebe Hospital in Albany, Georgia. She was born on February 28, 1948, in Americus, Georgia, to the late Oliver Lane Montgomery and Mary Harper Montgomery.

Chlo is survived by her husband, Steve Kennedy, daughter, Kyna (Jason) Tarrer, sister, Anna Marie Ladson, brother-in-law, Jimmy Kennedy, two grandchildren, Kennedy Lane Tarrer, Jason "Luke" Tarrer and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her niece, Laura Marie Ladson and brother-in-law, Dan Kennedy.

Chlo was a special angel on earth.  Her chosen profession was homemaker because taking care of her family and home was what she valued most.  She was happiest when surrounded by her children.  She looked forward to spending holidays and other special occasions with them, Christmas shopping with them, meals with them and just simple visits with them.

Chlo treasured her friends and let them know they were special to her by taking them their favorite food, flowers, or whatever she felt would be meaningful for them.  She can never be replaced and will be missed more than words can accurately express.

A Graveside Service will be held in Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 3:00 PM, at the Preston City Cemetery in Preston, Georgia, with Jason Tarrer officiating the service.

The family will visit with friends, prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 PM, at the cemetery.
