Mary Patterson Binns, 88, died December 5, 2012, at St. Thomas Alive Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Mary was born in Cuthbert, GA, on January 31, 1924.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Olin Wimberly Patterson, Sr. and Frances Porter Patterson; and her husband, Brainard Richardson Binns.

She is survived by one son, John Thomas Patterson of Salem, AL, and two daughters, Linda R. (Robert) Ayres of St. Louis, MO and Elizabeth R. (Roy) Lofton of Woodstock, GA.  She also has two sister-in-laws from Lumpkin, GA, Winnie Patterson and Dot Richardson.

Mary has seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Binns was retired as a Budget Analysis from the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL.

A Graveside Service was held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Northside Cemetery, in Lumpkin, GA, at 2:00 PM, where the Reverend Grant Abernathy officiated the service.
