Martha Faye Redmond Lane's Obituary
Martha "Faye" Redmond Lane, 71, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at her home outside of Lumpkin, Georgia.
She was born on February 3, 1947 in Clayton, Alabama, Barbour County, to Willie Corene and the late Clarence James Redmond.
Faye attended Clayton High School in Clayton, Alabama. She had worked at Cooper Lighting for many years.

Faye and Marvin Lane were married for 12 years. She and Marvin enjoyed being on the farm and working in the fields nearby. She especially loved to getting on the tractor and mowing!! She was a avid rose gardener. She loved to spend time pruning and cutting flowers for the house. When Marvin became sick, Faye was by his side, doing everything to make Marvin's life easier.
When Faye and Marvin married, she was welcomed into his family. Faye enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren. She was devoted to her church, Shady Grove Baptist Church and was a regular at their Bible Study Program. Faye had a group of ladies that she would travel with for day trips and weekend visits. These wonderful ladies helped to fill her life especially after Marvin died.
Faye is preceded in death by her father, Clarence James Redmond and her husband, Marvin L. Lane.
Faye is survived by her mother, Willie Corene Redmond of Union Springs, Alabama, her two brothers, Eddie (Waldan) Redmond of Clayton, Alabama and Wayne (Mary Jean) Redmond of Union Springs, Alabama; Nephews, Phil Oates, Donnie Dykes, three nieces, Tammy Redmond, Jana Oates, Jacy Oates; three great nephews, Josh Dykes, Owen Law, Cody Law; her two step-daughters, Wanda Lane Clancy and Linda Lane Adcock; several step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Jimmy Lepard.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday afternoon from 5:00 to 7:00 pm (EST), September 9, 2018, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday morning, September 10, 2018, at 11:00 AM (EST), at the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lumpkin, Georgia. The Reverend Louis Mumoz of Parkview Baptist Church in Eufaula, Alabama will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made to: Stewart Webster Cancer Fund, 6381 Hamilton Street, Preston, Georgia 31824.
