Marjorie Dorman Overby, 102, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at home in Richland, GA.

Mrs. Marjorie was born in Richland, GA, on September 13, 1910.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Jesse Dorman and Audie Wade Dorman; and her husband, Robert D. Overby.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Dorman (Joycelyn) Overby of Dawsonville, GA and Randy Wade (Linda) Overby of Stem, NC; and two daughters, Barbara Overby of Richland, GA and Nancy Jo (Walter) Harper of Tuscola, TX.

Mrs. Marjorie was a retired school teacher from the Jacksonville Florida School System.   After her retirement in 1983 she moved back to Richland to live. Mrs. Marjorie was a member of the Williams Road Church of Christ in Americus, GA and a member of the Richland Garden Club.

A tribute to Mrs. Marjorie's long and active life was her love accompanying her daughter, Barbara,

camping and that she mowed her own grass with a riding mower until the age of 96.

A Chapel Service will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel in Richland, GA.  Interment will be in Harmony Cemetery in Richland, GA.
