Margaret Holder Shierling, 88, of Lumpkin, Georgia, died on February 1, 2015, at Phoebe Sumter Hospice in Americus, Georgia. She was born on February 2, 1926, in Stewart County Georgia, to the late James Troy Holder and Emma Louise Pugh Holder.

Mrs. Margaret was retired from Ft. Benning, the Accounting and Finance Division. She was the former owner of the Lumpkin Dry Cleaners. She will be greatly missed as she touch countless lives through her work, her community life and her good deeds to others.

Margaret is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Elbeth Shierling; and three brothers, Jack Holder, Harold Holder and Edger Pugh Holder.

She is survived by her two sons, Razz (Tippy) Shierling of Americus, Georgia and Marion Shierling of Lumpkin, Georgia; one brother, Lawrence Pugh Varner of Pine Mountain, Georgia; five grandchildren, Mary Margaret (Adam) Fox, Catherine Shierling, Drew Shierling, Tal Shierling and Emma Shierling; and one great grandchild, Piper Fox.

A Visitation Service with family and friends will be held on Monday evening, February 2, 2015, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home, 50 Overby Dr., Richland, Georgia.

The Church Service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at 4:00 PM, at the Lumpkin United Methodist Church in Lumpkin, Georgia. She will be buried in Northside Cemetery beside Mr. Elbeth.
