Linda Wilkerson Saxon, 66, passed from this life to eternal life on January 25, 2021 at her home. She was born on August 9, 1954 in Muscogee County Georgia.
Linda attended high school in Richland, Georgia. She graduated from South Georgia Technical College in Americus, Georgia with a nursing degree and later obtained her registered nursing license.
She was an avid collector of Mickey Mouse memorabilia. She had a true passion for gardening. Her love for flowers and plants was always evident each Spring. She also enjoyed making jewelry and crafting. Her creativity shined bright in all of her projects.
She is preceded in death by her parents, C.J. Wilkerson of Phenix City, Alabama and Stella (Hamer) Cook of Richland, Georgia.
She is survived by her son, Michael Welch of Phenix City, Alabama and her daughter, Michelle Klima of Lanett, Alabama; her sister, Sherry Wilkerson of Phenix City, Alabama; her brother, Hamer (Debbie) Cook Jr. of Spring Hill, Florida; two grandchildren, Madison (Austin) Melendez of West Point, Georgia and Mason Klima of Lanett, Alabama; two great grandchildren, Mayve and Aisla Melendez; and niece, Amber (Eric) Ring of Phenix City, Alabama.
A private celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
