Lillie Mae Taylor Galbraith, 89, died on Friday, August 17, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.
She was born April 20, 1929, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late James O'Dell Taylor and Lillie Leola Ansley Taylor.
Lillie attended high school at Langley Bath Clearwater School in Bath, South Carolina. She graduated from college with Honors. She also attended Chattahoocheee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama, with a degree in General Business.Lillie and Billie were married on April 3, 1948. She was a devoted wife to Billie as he served in the military. They and their family lived and moved with the military life including serving overseas.
Lillie is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Billie. They were married for 68 years at the time of his death.
Lillie is survived by her four children, Susan Turley, David "Gene" (Betty) Galbraith, Linda (Thomas) Ward and James "Jimmy" (Lynn) Galbraith; one brother, Danny Taylor; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday evening, August 19, 2018, from 6 to 8 pm, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.
Graveside Service will be held Monday morning, August 20, 2018, at 11 AM, at the Harmony Cemetery in Cusseta, Georgia, 100 Old Louvale Rd.
