Leonard Scott, 91, died January 27, 2014, at Four County Nursing and Rehab Center in Richland, GA.  He was born April 17, 1922, in Augusta, GA, to the late John Garrett Scott and Nannie Grubbs Scott.

Mr. Scott was a faithful member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church in Augusta, GA.  He served as Chairman of the Board of Deacons and as the Sunday School Superintendent. He worked at Maxwell Brothers Furniture Store and was the Store Manager.  He has lived in Richland for almost eight years.  Mr. Scott was a veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife, Jacqueline Patrick Scott, and two brothers, Vernon Scott and Lewis Scott.

Mr. Scott is survived by three sons, Jerry Scott of Columbia, SC, Marvin (Sonny) Seals, wife, Jeanie, of Augusta, GA, Patrick Scott, wife, Patti, of Springfield, MO, one daughter, Lynn Holder, husband, Steve, of Richland, GA, and one brother, Hugh Acton Scott, wife, Judy, of North Augusta, SC.

He has three grandchildren: Travis Holder, Josh Holder, Michaela Scott and six great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 2700 Deans Bridge Rd, Augusta, GA, on Monday, February 3, 2014, at 1:00 PM.   Following the service, the family will visit with family and friends.
