Larry Crumbly Hammock, 79, passed away at his home on April 4, 2022, in Richland, Georgia, with Clara at his side.  He was born on June 7, 1942, in Locus Grove, Georgia to the late Henry Carson (H.C.) Hammock and Ruby Crumbly Hammock.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and three brothers, Robert Hammock, William (Bill) Hammock, Jimmy Hammock.

Larry is survived by wife loving wife, Clara Cochran Hammock, his two sons, Jason Hammock, Carson Hammock; four sisters, Hazel Gardner, Ann Gardner, Mary Jo Leveritte, Linda (Edward) Branan; two grandchildren, Abby Hammock, Noah Hammock; and numerous friends.

Larry was retired from Eastern Airlines where he worked as a baggage landler.  Larry served in the United States National Guard.

Larry was a avid Braves Baseball fan and never missed a game if possible!  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.  He also enjoyed watching the Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs games.  He truly loved spending time with his grandchildren. Larry loved being a part of his community and had served on several of the local committees, such as Richland Main Street.  He and Clara enjoyed being a part of Pig Fest in Richland.  Larry was a true Southern Gentleman.  He loved to visit with people and enjoyed making them laugh and smile at one of his newest jokes.  Larry never met a stranger, no matter where he and Clara were going.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at the Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel in Richland, Georgia. The Reverend Tim Cadenhead and Jim Hammock will officiate the service.  A Visitation with the family will be held at from 1:00 to 1:45 PM, before the Service.
