Kathy Bickley
Peek
August 5, 1953 – February 8, 2022
Kathy Bickley Peek, 68, passed away at her home in Louvale, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, after a long illness. She was born on August 5, 1953, in Eufaula, Alabama, to the late William Bickley and Margaret Jean Barker Bickley.
Kathy is preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Charles Lynn Peek; her daughter, Kimberly Lynn Peek Tyler; and a grandson, Cole Hillard.
She is survived by one daughter, Mitzi Peek Lynch; three grandchildren, Chase Long, Kassi Kennedy, Trent Tyler; five great grandchildren, Jordan McKeen, Jaxson Long, Drake Long, Nolyn Nobles, Dallas Nobles; two brothers, Scott (Amanda) Bickley, Ricky (Cindy) Bickley; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy greatly loved her family. When there were places to go and things to do, she would handle it. She was a great strength to her family, always there to support her daughters.
She loved to travel, just load up the car and she was ready to go. Kathy called a shopping trip, "retail therapy" with a great meal! She had a great love for her dogs and animals. Kathy watched out her windows daily to see the deer grazing in the yard. She enjoyed going with friends to the East Alabama Speed Way and trips to the beach even if it was only an overnight trip.
Kathy was retired from Florence Marina State Park on the Chattahoochee River. She worked as the Marina Secretary. She enjoyed meeting the tourists and people coming to fish and camp at the Marina. Over the years that she worked at the Marina, she saw many changes and new improvements.
Kathy had a great reunion when she passed away on Tuesday. We know Lynn and Kim were waiting for her at Heaven's Gate. Kathy greatly missed them both these last years, especially when she was going through her health issues.
Mitzi will be receiving friends at her home.
