Julia Pauline Simmons Stephens Meeks, 79, of Richland, GA, died September 20, 2013 at her daughter Frankie Bank's home.  Mrs. Pauline was born in Brantley, AL, on August 11, 1934 to the late John and Katherine Naper Simmons.

Mrs. Pauline will always be remembered as a very dedicated school bus driver for the Stewart County School System for many years.

Survivors include her husband, William W. Meeks, Sr. of Columbus, GA, and three daughters, Frankie (Brant) Banks of Columbus, GA, Lisa (Ricky) Twiggs of Troy, AL, Paulette (Tom) Stoer of Riverside, NJ; two sons, Tommy (Doris) King of Sorrento, FL, Andrew Simmons of Phenix City, AL, She is also survived by a brother, Aaron Simmons of Phenix City, AL, a sister, May Jones of Brundage, AL and seven grandchildren.

The family held a visitation from 5 - 7 p.m., Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2013, at Baldwin Funeral Home.  The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, at the Enterprise Baptist Church in Richland, GA, with the Rev. Tim Cadenhead presiding.  Burial followed in Harmony Cemetery.
