James Thomas "Buddy" Galloway, 79, died on October 6, 2017, at Columbus Midtown Medical Hospital, in Columbus, Georgia.

Buddy was born on November 11, 1937, in Henry County, Alabama to the late A. V. Galloway and Lillie Mae Buxton Galloway.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife, Joann Smith Galloway.

Buddy was retired from Life of Georgia, as an insurance salesman. His route was the surrounding area. He graduated from Richland High School in 1956. He was a member of Cusseta First Baptist Church. He and his family lived in Cusseta since 1962.

He is survived by his two daughters, Terri Galloway (Jim) Candlin of Columbus, Georgia, Laurie Galloway (Thomas) James of Woodstock, Georgia; four grandchildren, Evan Candlin, Rebecca James, Nathan James, SamGrayson James; and his brother, Robert W. (Mary) Galloway of Pooler, Georgia.

A Visitation Service will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, on Sunday afternoon, October 8, 2017, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.

A Church Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 9, 2017, at Cusseta First Baptist Church in Cusseta, Georgia. The Reverend Mark Hudson will conduct the service.

Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery, Ponder Street, in Richland, Georgia following the church service.

Pall bearers serving are: Ben Smith, Ken Smith, Mel Smith, Steven Smith, Mike Edrew, Brandon Galloway, David Smith.
