James Rudolph Moncus, Sr., 88, died at Lillian G. Carter Nursing Center in Plains, Georgia on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was born in Terrell County Georgia, on July 27, 1928, to the late James Kirby Moncus and Amanda Davis.

James was a retired over the road trucker. He had also worked in the logging business for many years.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents and one sister, Christine Patterson.

Survivors include his son, James "Rudy" Randolph (Sue) Moncus, of Preston, Georgia; three daughters, Patricia Moncus of Preston, Georgia, Evelyn (Chris) McGill of Bronwood, Georgia, Donna (Allen) Green of Lumpkin, Georgia; one sister, Imogene Cejka; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Frances Moncus.

A Visitation Service will be held on Thursday evening, April 13, 2017, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.

The Graveside Service will be held at Beulah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Parrott, Georgia on Friday morning, at 11:00 AM, on April 14, 2017.
