Obituary

Florence Cosby Pugh "Tiny", 93, died at her home in Preston, GA, on May 30, 2014. She was the daughter of William Henry Cosby and Florida Davis Cosby, on January 24, 1921, in Webster County Georgia.

Florence is the widow of William Blevins Pugh. She was retired from the UGA Cooperative Extension Service, Preston, GA, where she had served as the secretary for 42 years. She was a member of the Preston United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her three brothers, Carl Fletcher (Boo) Cosby, William Heard (Bill) Cosby, and Arthur Fred (Bo) Cosby; and six sisters, Julia (Miss Pat) Wilson, Sara (Tape) Black, Lillian (Bob) Adams, Ruth (Buddy) Thornton, Mary Lois Cosby, and Jessie Mansfield.

Survivors include one son, William (Sam) B. Pugh, Jr., and his wife, Sheila, of Live Oak, FL and one daughter, Kay Pugh of Preston, GA; three grandchildren, Stacy Smith, Nicki Hamill, William Kyle Pugh; and five great grandchildren.

The church service will be held at the Preston United Methodist Church on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 2:00 PM, with burial in the church cemetery. The Reverend Laura Hartley and Lee Smith will be officiating the service and music is provided by Reese Walker.
