Fitzgerald Evans "Jerry" Kelley from Richland, Georgia passed away at Hospice in Columbus, Georgia on January 10th, 2017. "MawMaw" or "MiMi", as the family called her, was born on July 14th, 1934.
MawMaw/MiMi was the daughter of John Charles Evans and Jessie Fitzgerald Evans.
In her earlier years, she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority at Auburn University. She later served as Clerk of Superior Court of Stewart County from 1980 until her retirement in 2004.
MawMaw/MiMi lived a fun life surrounded by her five children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. There were not many family vacations that MawMaw/MiMi missed and we will all miss her company. She loved to talk on the phone and sit on the back porch having many conversations that will forever be in our hearts.
Some of Jerry's favorite things were candles, flowers, lamps, sweet tea with lemon, and her long strand of pearls. She was known for her famous tomato aspic at Christmas time. Mawmaw/Mimi was quick to call her grandchildren "baby" and give a lipstick kiss on their forehead. The caregivers over the past few months have always mentioned that they wished every patient was as easy as "Miss" Jerry. She was very loved by her large family and friends. Love you always, we will give you a "buzz".
MawMaw/MiMi is survived by her children; Rachel Kelley Butts (Randy), James Frederick Kelley Jr. (Pat), Charles Evans Kelley (Kimberly), Jesse Williams Kelley (Cynthia), and Susan Kelley Avant (Chris).
