Esther Wallace Hine, 88, died on April 3, 2018, at Sumter Retirement Village in Plains, Georgia.  She was born on November 2, 1929 in Clinton, Connecticut to the late Raymond Kenneth Hine and Esther Amanda Metcalf Wallace.

Esther is survived by her son, Gary R. Hine of Preston, Georgia and her daughter, Carrie R. Litz; two sisters, Edith Kufta and Juliette Caylor; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Esther is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Raymond Kenneth Hine.

Esther was retired from the United States Postal Service in Gilford, Connecticut.  She had lived in the Webster/Sumter area for the past three years, coming from Madison, Connecticut.

Plans for a Memorial Service will be at a later date.
