Doris Hollomon Holder, 98, of Lumpkin, Georgia, died on Friday, May 2, 2014, at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia.

Doris was born in Stewart County Georgia on April 19, 1916, to Bill Hollomon and Posie Bridges.  She and the late James Lee Holder were married for 65 years.  Mr. James preceded her in death on March 20, 2003.   Doris is preceded in death by both of her parents and a son, Jimmy Holder.

She was a life-long resident of Stewart County and a member of the Lumpkin First Baptist Church.  She loved playing bridge, watching the Braves games, watching football games and NASCAR races, especially, Jeff Gordon.

Survivors include her daughter, Kay H. Kimmel, her husband, Kim, of Lumpkin, Georgia; two grandsons, Kyle Kimmel, his wife, Brandy, of Nickles, Georgia and Kerry Kimmel, his wife, Sarah, of Midland, Georgia; and two great-grandchildren, Holden and  Kaden.

Family and friends were invited to visit with the family at the Doris Holder Home in Lumpkin, Georgia. A Graveside Service was held on Sunday afternoon, May 4, 2014, at 2:00 PM, at the Eastside Cemetery in Lumpkin, Georgia.  The Reverend Wayne Williams officiated.

Pallbearers were:  Adolph McLendon, Frank Singer, Johnny Singer, Randy Butts, Coy Greene, Ralph Johnson

In lieu of flowers:  donations may be written to the Lumpkin First Baptist Church and mailed to Baldwin Funeral Home, P. O. Box 394, Richland, GA.  31825.
