Doris Freida
Forsyth Harris
September 29, 1940 – January 8, 2025
Doris Freida Harris was called home and reunited with her beloved husband of 62 years, Peewee, on January 8, 2025. Born on September 29, 1940, to the late Jessie Felton Forsyth and Mable Culpepper Forsyth. She was preceded in death by her sibling's, James Forsyth, Linda Methany, Dean Williams and Paul Forsyth.
Freida had a deep love for nature, particularly enjoying the time she spent working in her yard and tending to her beautiful flowers. She found comfort in watching her favorite "stories" on television, and her faith was central to her life—she loved listening to gospel music and reading her Bible. She was a member of Red Hill Christian Church.
Above all, Freida was the most devoted and loving mother to her four children: Ed, Dianne, Michael, and Mark. Her family was her greatest treasure, and they were her pride and joy.
Her granddaughters, Brooke (the eldest) and Megan (the youngest), shared that Freida was not only a second mother figure to them but also one of their best friends. She cherished all her grandchildren deeply and treasured the time spent with each of them. In addition to her grandchildren, Freida was also a doting great-grandmother, and her great-grandchildren brought her immense happiness and joy.
Chole Susie Harris (her furry child) brought much comfort and joy to her life.
Freida's love for her family, her unwavering faith, and the countless memories she created will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Surviving family members who will miss her tremendously are sons and daughter, Ed Harris (Teresa), Dianne Miller (Ray), Michael Harris (Connie) and Mark Harris' 9 grandchildren, Trey Miller, Brian Harris, Brandon Miller (Jessica), Brooke Landers (James), Ashley Harris (Tiffany), Jessica Hall (Dozier), Bethany Miller (Mike), Alec Harris & Megan Harris; 15 Great Grandchildren: Braylyn, Dalton, Hannah, Coraline, Landen, Bryce, Josey, Lyric, Lawson, Darah, Gabriel, Kenni Sue, Willa, Keeley, and Sophie; and sisters Barbara Phillips and Louise Carlile (OP).
