Dexter Cherry, 83, died on January 23, 2018, at Four County Health and Rehab, in Richland, Georgia.
Dexter was born on September 4, 1934, in Stewart County, Georgia, to the late Hollis Cherry and Carmen Lyon Cherry. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired after 36 years of service with the Grey Hound Bus Company.
Survivors include his brother, John Guy Cherry of Oxford, Alabama; his sister-in-law, Ila Faye Cherry of Glencoe, Alabama; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Cherry, four brothers, Hollis Jr., Waymen, Whit and Erskine; and one sister, Ida Faye Morrison.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday 27, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Lumpkin, Georgia, Reverend Jack Ray will officiate the service.
