David Harden, 64, passed away at his home on July 25, 2023, in Dawson, Georgia.  He was born on August 25, 1958, in Richland, Georgia,    to the late William Henry Harden and Annie Elizabeth Johnson Harden.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Harden; one son, Steven (Anna) Harden; grandchildren, Blakely Kate Harden, Bella and Haley; two brothers, Mack Harden, James Harden; and four sisters, Emily Howe, Allien Phillips, Debra Lynch, Ferell Taylor.

David was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his two sons, Cole Harden and William Harden.

David farmed most of his life and was an dedicated farmer.  He was a true Steward of his land.  Farming is a long and hard life but he and his family felt the rewards were great.  He loved planting seeds and watching them grow and go on to be processed into products.  He loved hunting and spending time with his family and friends.  He enjoyed his time with the children, watching them grow up and playing with them.  David was an animal lover and was always taking in stray dogs and giving them a loving home.

David enjoyed meeting people.  No matter where he traveled he could always find someone to talk to on different subjects.  He just loved being part of what was happening.  He built homes in the 1990's and would meet and make many new friends over the years.  The one thing he missed during his illness was not being able to visit and talk with people.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery (Busby Road) outside of Parrott, Georgia.  David's nephew, Shane Busby will officiate the service.
