Clyde David Turner, 69, was born on January 6, 1944 in Muscogee County Georgia, to the late Clyde Turner and Sarah Mozzelle Cook Turner.  He was a graduate of Preston High School in Preston, Georgia.  David was killed in an automobile accident on December 23, 2013 in Waynesboro, Georgia.

David served in the United States Air Force as a SGT. from August 13, 1964 until August 12, 1970.  He was a Civil Engineer.

After his enlistment was up, he went to work for ATT in Doraville, GA, as a telephone tech.  When David retired he moved back to Preston, GA.

David was preceded in death by both his parents and a brother, J. W. Davis.  He is survived by two daughters, Crystal Dawn (Michael) Martin of Bethlehem, Georgia and Patricia (Randy) Adams of Winder, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Taylor Adams, Blake Martin, Samantha Martin and Emily Martin.

The family will receive visitors at the Mount Olive Methodist Church on Saturday, December 28, 2013, from 12:00 to 12:45 PM.  The service will be held at 1:00 PM, with Hall Grimmett officiating, with Mrs. Susie Etheredge providing the music.  David will be buried in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson, GA.

In lieu of flowers:  Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Mount Olive Methodist Church in care of Baldwin Funeral Home.
