Obituary

Clarice King Bartlett, 93, of Richland, Georgia, died on December 7, 2014, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. She was born on April 24, 1921, in Webster County Georgia, to the late John Robert King and Mary Lou Lawhorn King.
Clarice was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Thomas Jefferson Bartlett, Jr.; four brothers, Robert King, Durwood King, Jim King and Jack King; two sisters, Annie Mae King Colbert and Emma Sue Ingram.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Bonnie) Bartlett of Richland, Georgia and her two daughters, Ann Moore of Columbus, Georgia and Elaine (Tommy) Jennings of Smithville, Georgia; one sister, Irene King Watson of Lakeland, Florida; and two dear friends, Connie and Jimmy Adams of Richland, Georgia.
Although Clarice was born in Webster County, she spent most of her life in Richland Georgia. Clarice was retired from Richardson's General Store and Charlie Miller's Store. Clarice was also an accomplished seamstress Many people will always remember her for talent in sewing.
Being active in the community was very important to Clarice. She was a member of the Richland Baptist Church, Richland Garden Club, Better Hometown, Richland Railroad Museum, which she helped to establish, the Historical Society and the Restoration of Harmony Church.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 2:00 PM, Harmony Cemetery, in Richland, Georgia. Visitation with the family will be after the service. The Reverend Robert Orr will conduct the service.

In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made to Phoebe Sumter Hospice, in care of Baldwin Funeral Home.
