Christine Patten Brazier, 87, of Richland, passed away at the Four County Health Care and Rehabilitation, Richland, on Thursday, September 22, 2011.  She was born September 21, 1924 in Marion County Georgia to the late Samuel L. Patten and Lula Mae Gunnels.  She was the widow of John Wesley Brazier, Jr.

Mrs. Brazier was a resident of Richland, Stewart County.  She worked in the Suwane Store with her husband, John, as cashier.

She is survived by two sons, Sammy Wesley (Jo Ann) Brazier of Lumpkin, GA and Jimmy Bryant (Melody) Brazier of Richland, GA; and two daughters:  Shirley (Richard) Carpenter of Webster County, GA and Patti (Steve) Smith of Lumpkin, GA.  She had eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A Church Service was held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2011, Richland Baptist Church, with interment in Harmony Cemetery, Richland, GA.  The Rev. Mark Williams officiated.  Jennie Stapleton sand two songs, "Holy Ground" and "She Loved".

Baldwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
