Obituary

Charles Leonard (Lynn) Peek, 61, died October 26, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. He was born on January 11, 1953 in Stewart County Georgia to Joe Bolivar Peek, Sr. and Betty Perry Peek.
Lynn was preceded in death by two brothers, Phil Peek and Don Peek, and a grandson, Cole Hilliard.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bickley Peek, his daughters, Kim (John) Tyler of Louvale, Georgia and Mitzi (Chad Lynch) Hilliard of Louvale, Georgia; his parents, Joe and Betty Peek; a brother, Bob (Janice) Peek of Louvale, Georgia; one sister, Betty Jo (Gordon) Smith of Louvale, Georgia; four grandchildren, Kassi Kennedy, Trent Tyler, Chase (Jessica) Long, Gabby Tyler; one great-grandchild, Jordan; nieces, Casey (Michael) Rowan and Sallie (Chad) Long, and other nieces.
Lynn had worked for the Stewart County Road Department and St. Regis Company. He had been self-employed and was presently working for T Five Forestry Service of Louvale, Georgia. Growing up he had worked in the family grocery store in Louvale, Peek's Grocery. Lynn was a graduate of Stewart County High School.
Lynn loved the outdoors but above all else he loved his family! He enjoyed coon hunting, hog hunting and trapping and playing softball. He loved working outdoors with their animals, goats, dogs and chickens and his garden.
The family will receive visitors at Baldwin Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, October 28, 2014, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at 3:00 PM, at the Louvale Church Row Cemetery in Louvale, Georgia. The Reverend Robert Orr will conduct the service.
