Charles Evans Kelley, 65, passed away on August 24, 2024, at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.  He was born on May 10, 1959, in Richland, Georgia, to the late James Frederick Kelley, Sr. and the late Fitzgerald "Jerry" Evans Kelley.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Evans is survived by his wife, Kimberly Stephens Kelley, his children: Charles Evans Kelley, Jr., wife Jodi, Sarah Kendall Kelley Spence, husband Casey, Andrew Stephens Kelley, wife Taylor; grandchildren, Evans Feagin Spence, Beau Bennett Kelley, Austin Pickett Kelley; siblings, Rachel Kelley Butts, husband Randy, James Frederick Kelley, Jr., wife Pat, Jesse Williams Kelley, wife Cynthia, Susan Kelley Avant, husband Chris.

Evans was very proud of his title, "Grandaddy", called to him by each of his grandchildren.  He was a true family man.  He loved to be at home on the back porch, by the fire, hanging out with his family and friends.  Evans had to have a coke and would get mad if anyone drank the last of his milk!

Evans loved the outdoors, especially hunting turkey and dove.  He recently took up hog hunting.

Evans worked for Interfore in Preston, Georgia as a lumber mill saw filer.

A Graveside Service will be held on August 26, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Reverend Mike McGlaun officiating the service.

We will "take five" and see you soon daddy/grandaddy.
