Charles Robert "Bobby" Williams, 72, passed away on March 23, 2017, at his home in Lumpkin Georgia. Bobby was born on September 24, 1944 in Stewart County Georgia, to the late Charles Daniel "C.D." Williams and Louise Rutledge Williams.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, one brother, Hal Williams, and one sister, Lucy Giles.

Bobby was a graduate of Stewart County High School in Lumpkin Georgia. After graduating he attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, studying Forestry. Bobby worked for Mead Westvaco, retiring after 42 years. His office was based in Stewart County.

Bobby was a man that loved his family, friends and his community. As a forester, he felt at home in the woods. He enjoyed being out with his cows, dogs and going fishing. He had a deep love for his family and was very proud of each one of them. He served the Lord as a member and deacon of the Lumpkin Baptist Church. He was a 32rd degree Mason and a member for 41 years. Bobby and Snookie were married for 47 years. They have two sons, two loving daughters-in-laws and three beautiful grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn "Snookie" Henson Williams; his two sons, Rob (Tracey) Williams of Columbus, Georgia and Brian (Stephanie) Williams of Columbus, Georgia; three grandchildren, Charlie Williams, Cohen Williams, Marlie Williams; two brothers, Johnny (Marianna) Williams of Lumpkin, Georgia, Dan Williams of Richland, Georgia; two sisters, Betty (Dewey) Brooks of Lumpkin, Georgia, Frances Miller of Louvale, Georgia; and many cousins.

A Visitation Service will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, on Friday, March 24, 2017, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Northside Cemetery in Lumpkin, Georgia. The Reverends' Wayne Williams and Robert Orr will conduct the service.
