Carole Loretta Jacobs born on April 16, 1946, in Oviedo, Florida to Ormond Raleigh Simmons and Maggie Lavonda Hickson.

Preceding her in death were both of her parents, Ormond and Lavonda Simmons; her daughter, Denise Daughtry of Clayton Alabama who passed away on September 17, 2021 from covid; two sisters, Anne Capman and Dottie Gioia; one brother Larry Simmons; one child, Jessica Jacobs, and one grandchild, Robert Wills.

Carole is survived by her husband, Johnny Gene Jacobs, his son, Gene (Kitty) Jacobs of Sanford, Florida; their son, William Randal (Sherri) Jacobs and their children, Leah and Jamie; her son, John (Christina Strickland) Burch Jr of Ellaville, Georgia and his children, Amanda Rogers, Brandon Burch, James Scott, Tishana Scott, Cory Burch, Caitlin Strickland, Brandon Strickland and Courtney Strickland-Burch; Denise's children, Brandy (Chester) Tatum, Jessie (James) Coleman, Ryan (Josie) Daughtry, Tiffany Daughtry; Anita (Jeff) Pate of Louvale, Georgia and her children, Alfred Jefferson Pate III and Danielle (John) Christian; Diane (John) Wills of Ellaville, Georgia and her children, Austin Wills, Alyssa Wills, Alexis Wills and Johnathon McCarty; three brothers, Wayne (Barbara) Simmons of Lumpkin, Georgia, Ormond Raleigh (Myra) Simmons of Sanford, Florida; and Dennis Simmons of Florida. She leaves behind 11 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

To know her was to love her. Carole was a fighter. She beat cancer 3 different times but lost the battle on September 30, 2021, at her home in Preston, Georgia. She will always be remembered as a strong, hard worker and loving wife, sister, mother, friend, and "mammaw". She loved growing vegetables in her garden and staying busy.

Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday morning, October 2, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia, before leaving for the cemetery.

Graveside Services will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:30 AM, at the Macedonia Church Cemetery.  The Reverend Raymond Smith will officiate the service.
