Buren Williams (Bill) Jones, 52, of Lumpkin, died Friday, April 19, 2013.  A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 20th, 11:00 A. M. at the Chapel of Baldwin Funeral Home, 50 Charles Overby Dr., 229-887-2750, Richland, GA.

Bill was born July 21, 1960, in Cuthbert, GA.  He was the son of the late Buren L. (Buddy) Jones, Jr., and Betty Williams Brooks (Dewey), of Lumpkin.  He worked at several jobs during his life, but always returned to his first love of farming.  Farming was in his blood, and the process of preparing the land, planting, watching the crops grow, and harvesting them were a huge part of his world.  He was a true believer in the circle of life.  Bill loved his family, and he truly enjoyed his life.  He worked hard and played hard.  He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, and he had a huge heart and generous spirit.

Survivors other than his mother include his wife of 33 years, Cindy Baldwin Jones, son Terrell William Jones, and daughter Halliday Elizabeth (Hallie) Jones.  He is also survived by a sister, Sandi Jones of Bethlehem, GA, brother-in-law, Lewis Baldwin (Sally) of Lumpkin, sister-in-law Carolyn Crase (Michael) of Columbus, nephews Kyle Welch (Joanie) of Mauk, Josh Welch (Jami) of Americus, Keith Austin(Marion) of Amli, Norway, Allen Baldwin of Lumpkin, and Eric Baldwin of Richland; niece Jordan Wells of Richland.
