Bonnie Kennedy Alston, 90, Americus, GA, died October 20, 2011, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, Americus, GA.

Mrs. Alston was born in Gwinnett County, GA on January 10, 1921.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) Henry Kennedy, born in Auburn, GA. and Sallie Elizabeth Clark, born in Dacula, GA.; and a sister, Peggy Jean Walker.  She was the widow of Cecil Will Alston.   She was a member of the Mt. Olive Methodist Church.

Mrs. Alston is survived by two sons: Johnny (Jean) Heath of Americus, GA and Roland (Lou) Heath of Preston, GA; one daughter, Betty H. Johnston of Richland, GA; and two brothers, Millard Kennedy of Preston, GA, and Ben Kennedy of Americus, GA.  She had twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home with burial in the Preston City Cemetery, Preston, GA.  Visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2011, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home, Richland, GA.

The Rev. Hugh Harbort and Rev. Raymond Smith will officiate the service.  Pallbearers are:  Chris Heath, Johnny Chris Heath, Jack Carter, Ronald Brown, Tony Kennedy, Jack Holbrook.
