Barbara Lane Roland, 69, died on Friday, October 11, 2013, at the Four County Health Care in Richland, GA.

Barbara was born in Dougherty County GA, on November 5, 1943 to William Ralph Lane and Bernice Pawley Lane.

During her life Barbara had worked for Dr. Pugh in Lumpkin for many years and at Michelle's Restaurant in Lumpkin.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Lamar Roland, her daughter, Angela Roland; and a sister, Pat Lynch.

Barbara is survived by her son, Dean (Teri) Roland of Warms Springs, GA, and her daughter, Lynne (Andy) Parks of Lumpkin, GA; seven grandchildren, Richard Patterson, Jennifer Patterson James, Molly Parks, Katie Parks, Tyler Brown, Macie Brown and Karah Brown and one great grandchild, Scarlett James; one brother, Bill Lane of Omaha, GA and one sister, Hazel Pope of Columbus, GA.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday evening, October 13, 2013, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, GA.  A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at County Line Baptist Cemetery, Lumpkin, GA, with the Reverend Jack Ray officiating.
