Arthur Wayne Simmons, 80, died on April 4, 2022, at Barbour Medical Center in Eufaula, Alabama.  He was born on December 17, 1941, in Chuluota, Florida, to the late Raleigh Ormand Simmons and Lavonda Hixon Simmons.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Barbara Simmons; three sons, Dewight Simmons, Sr, Ormond Ray Simmons, Tad Simmons; one daughter, Barbara Cordell; five grandsons, Dewight Simmons, Jr., Clayton Kinsey, Colton Simmons, Anthony Kinsley, Casey McDonald; six granddaughters, Kaylyn Stuffel, Mikayla Dudley, Cassie Simmons, Amber Leath, Kalee Kinsey, Bobbie Southwell; and 11 great grandchildren, Maverick Stuffel, Langston Dudley, Paisely Wood, Kinsleigh Leath, Brooklyn Leath, Finleigh Leath, Hunter Southwell, Haven Southwell, Kenneth Kinsey, Magnolia Kinsley, Allison McDonald.

A Visitation Service will be held on Friday evening, April 8, 2022, from 6:00 - 7:00 PM, at Baldwin Funeral Home in Richland, Georgia.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at his home at, 2404 B GA Hwy 27, Lumpkin, GA 31815.   The Reverend Raymond Smith will officiate the service.
