Amelia Beth Richardson Pate, 85, of Louvale, Ga. passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Gentiva Hospice Center in Columbus, Ga.  Mrs. Pate was born in Louvale Ga. April 7, 1928 to the late John B. and Sybil Richardson.

Amelia Beth Pate also known as "Ma Pate" was the owner and operator of Ma Pate's B.B.Q. in Louvale, Ga. for over 40 years and she was a member of the Marvin Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Charles "Duttie" Pate (Jackie) of Richland, Ga., Tom Pate (Kenna Watson) and Jeff "Snuffy" Pate (Anita) all of Louvale, Ga., a daughter, Gladys Ann Pate of Louvale; five grandchildren, Charles Pate, A. J. Pate, Dillion Pate, Danielle Pate, and Samantha Pate; two great grandchildren, Jon Collin Pate and Hayden Pate; and one sister, Emmie Berry of Louvale, Ga.

Amelia Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Pate; four sisters, Martha Richardson, Thelma Sambo Wilder, Johnnie Slocumb, and Jacque Gordy;  and a brother, Jimmy Dick Richardson.

The family will hold a visitation from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, June 26, 2013, at the home of Chris and Jeralyn Buchan in Louvale, Ga.  A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Marvin Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Langford, Rev. Brad Faircloth, and Mr. Nick Page officiating; with Burial in the Louvale Cemetery.
