Abbie Rose West McGlaun, 78, Preston, Ga, died at VistaCare, Columbus, GA, Thursday, September 22, 2011, with her family at her side.  She was born August 27, 1933 in Webster County Ga to the late Hilton West and Hallie West.  She was a self employed beautician for over 58 years, owning Abbie's Beauty Shop.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an active member of the Preston United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald McGlaun, Preston, GA; two daughters, Bonnie (Jackcay) Witt of Richland, GA. and Mitzi (Bill) House of Lumpkin, GA and one son, Torre Naugle of Richland, GA; four grandchildren, Rob Witt, Ginger Witt (Daniel) Almon, Will House and Abbie Lee House; three great grandchildren, Hallie and Witt Almon and Kensley Witt.

Funeral Services were Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 3:00 PM, Preston United Methodist Church, with graveside services and interment at Preston Cemetery, Rev. Lee Smith officiating.  Visitation was held Friday, September 23, 2011, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Baldwin Funeral Home, Richland, GA.  Flowers and/or donations to Preston Methodist Church are accepted.
